Senior Reinsurance Analyst

Associate General Counsel – Reinsurance About the Role We are seeking an experienced reinsurance attorney to support ceded reinsurance placements and related transactions for a growing international specialty insurance organization. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, you will provide legal guidance on reinsurance agreements, collateral arrangements, regulatory matters, and strategic transactions. Key Responsibilities Draft, negotiate, and manage reinsurance agreements and related documentation. Advise on collateral structures, trust agreements, and risk transfer arrangements. Support complex reinsurance transactions, including captive and alternative risk transfer programs. Manage reinsurance disputes, commutations, and regulatory matters. Partner with reinsurers, brokers, external counsel, and internal stakeholders. Develop legal templates, governance frameworks, and best practices. Qualifications JD and active admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. 10+ years of legal experience with a strong focus on reinsurance transactions. Extensive experience negotiating reinsurance contracts and related agreements. Strong commercial judgment, drafting skills, and ability to manage complex matters independently.
