Responsibilities

• Handle commercial litigation matters through all phases of the dispute lifecycle, from pre-suit strategy through resolution, with supervision appropriate to experience level.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and case assessments.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy for complex business disputes.
• Assist with and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation strategy, business objectives, case developments, and risk management considerations.
• Manage fact and expert discovery, including document review, witness preparation, and coordination with experts.
• Negotiate settlements and assist clients in resolving disputes efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on multifaceted business litigation matters.
• Support trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and courtroom strategy.
• Maintain organized case files, manage deadlines, and oversee day-to-day case responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of commercial litigation, business litigation, or complex civil litigation experience.
• Experience drafting dispositive motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation-related documents.
• Deposition, hearing, and motion practice experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
• Strong client-relations skills and a practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving.
• Trial or arbitration experience is a plus but not required.
