Assistant Designer: Kids Team (Daywear & Sleepwear)

Our Design team is responsible for establishing the trends, color, and style direction for our seasonal and customer-driven lines. The team develops product concepts and presentations for both internal teams and customer meetings, and once orders are placed, works closely with cross-functional partners to manage the sample development and production process.

Our Kids team is growing and we are looking for a new Assistant Designer to join the team! This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about kids fashion, has a keen eye for prints & trends, and is excited to work across multiple brands in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple projects and priorities. Strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills are essential. Job Responsibliities

• Assist with the development of seasonal and customer-driven Kids collections across multiple brands.
• Research seasonal trends, colors, prints, and silhouettes to support the development of new collections.
• Work with senior team members on print, artwork, and color selection.
• Assist with flat sketching and maintain organized fabric, trim, and color libraries.
• Execute production-ready print and graphic artwork, ensuring artwork is accurately sized and prepared for production.
• Create organized and accurate technical development packages, including construction details, sketches, fabrications, trims, prints, and color specifications.
• Prepare and send tech packs, sample requests, production artwork, and color standards.
• Communicate with overseas factories regarding product development and production needs.
• Track and follow up on sample development, fabric sourcing, and related deliverables.
• Partner with Design and cross-functional teams to ensure projects remain organized and on schedule.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• Previous internship or other relevant industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Passion for fashion and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
