Maintenance Tech

Growing food manufacturer with a plant located in Baltimore is looking for Maintenance Tech. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and future prevention of all equipment failures. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Specific responsibilities include:

• Uses equipment manuals, P&IDs electrical diagrams for equipment tuning and to maintain a base operating condition.
• Orders associate parts and organize inventories for speedy repairs/response.
• Can perform small plumbing, metal working, welding, cutting operations, and carpentry to support repairs.
• Familiarity with HMIs, machine communications, and VFD controls.
• Performs and promotes work activities in a safe and orderly fashion following food safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Identifies and works with outside contractors.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 3-5 years in a manufacturing/production/industrial environment. Food experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required. Technical school graduate preferred.
• Electrical, controls and communications.
• Direct experience with machines, hands-on repair and operational settings.
• Knowledge of PLCs, conveyors, motors, and other industrial equipment.
• Understanding of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
