Tire and Battery Service Advisor

Position Summary Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards by adhering to all safety policies and procedures, including conducting regular safety sweeps, handling forklifts and hazardous materials safely, complying with company steel standards, and promptly reporting unsafe conditions to management. Ensure the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, and manage claims, returns, shrink, and damages. Key Responsibilities Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards; conduct safety sweeps, handle forklifts and hazardous materials, follow company steel standards, and report unsafe conditions. Organize, stock, zone, and merchandise the TBC sales floor; process claims, returns, shrink, and damages; sign, price, and secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise. Monitor daily tire and battery orders; assist members with installation appointments, communicate lead‑time changes and cancellations, and suggest alternatives for installations or tire fitments. Provide expert member service: greet members, identify needs, recommend tire and battery products, explain warranties, and ensure high service value using Sam’s Garage and product knowledge. Drive sales and service excellence by communicating the value of merchandise and services and collaborating with club associates to promote member awareness of TBC offerings. Triage and prioritize the service workflow in TBC service bays; use Sam’s Garage to identify waiting members; manage the queue, schedule appointments, and recommend to technicians or team lead for efficiency. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, POS systems, phone, and in‑person selling techniques. Leverage digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, enhance the service experience, make real‑time business decisions, stay informed about products and training, and encourage adoption of new tools among team members. Act as a brand advocate by modeling high‑quality service, influencing teammates, addressing roadblocks, and assisting in team training. Operate TBC equipment safely; handle hardware (cash registers), process member purchases and returns; complete required documentation. Collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners to set and meet priorities, communicate progress, recommend improvements, adapt to change, and learn from feedback. Uphold Walmart’s ethics, integrity, and diversity principles; support Walmart’s regenerative mission and enforce the Open Door Policy. Minimum Qualifications Valid state‑issued driver’s license. At least 18 years of age. Preferred Qualifications Auto service industry experience. Retail experience. Compensation Hourly wage range: $20.00 to $28.00.
