Project Manager

Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of assigned projects while exemplifying DECCO’s Core Values and commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and establish project objectives with the project team Accountable for managing and maintaining budget, profitability goals, and financial reporting Prepare estimates, budgets, proposals, and cost analyses to support successful project execution Maintain client relationships and work closely with their account representatives Manage material and equipment procurement activities Oversee project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, turnover packages, closeout documentation, and as-built drawings Identify and manage project risks while protecting DECCO’s financial and contractual interests Champion DECCO’s safety culture and ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory safety requirements Scope compliance and change order estimating when applicable Oversee the maintenance of project documents Participate in company meetings, training programs, and organizational events Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, related field or work-related experience is strongly preferred. Five to ten years of experience in commercial construction project management is required. Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and construction standards. Plumbing industry experience, particularly in commercial, industrial, or life sciences environments, is a plus. Able to understand construction drawings and specifications. Computer skills including a knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Exhibit strong conflict resolution, organizational and time management abilities. Excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Physical Demands Office-based activities but also able to move around a heavy industrial work zone Office-based but can include field-based assignments as required PPE required on project sites including gloves, hardhat, eye protection, etc. Team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
