Urgent Care Opportunity Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Kootenai Urgent Care in beautiful north Idaho is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a multi-clinic urgent care system that includes other experienced advanced practice providers along with ancillary support staff.

With three urgent care clinics and a dedicated occupational medicine clinic in a less than 12-mile radius, there is continued need due to ever expanding population growth in the north Idaho area. Opportunity for 12-hour shifts with hours of operation for all clinics from 8a to 8p, 7 days a week. This position includes a competitive compensation, benefits package and paid malpractice with tail coverage. Nurse Practitioner Position Summary Works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patient's medical type. Responsibilities Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected Typically reports to a physician Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications MSN degree or higher from an accredited nurse practitioner program required Nationally recognized as a Nurse Practitioner Clinical experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Holds a current NP and RN license to practice in the state of Idaho required BLS required Physician Assistant Position Summary Assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination Performs a variety of tasks A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required Bachelor's degree in Health Science required Physician's Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Idaho Medical Board or is certification eligible, and is certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required Qualified under the rules of the DEA for prescriptive practices required Qualified under CMS regulations for patient care and billing practices required BLS required
