You’ll spend the majority of your time preparing complex individual and partnership tax returns for clients in the private equity, hedge fund, and creative sectors. Experience with K-1s will be particularly valuable, although candidates from a variety of industry backgrounds will be considered. The culture is relaxed and laid-back. There's no formal dress code, no requirement to track every minute of your day, and no drama. Busy season expectations are realistic, gradually increasing throughout the season with workloads typically capped at around 65 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of public accounting tax experience, preferably from a small or mid-sized CPA firm environment. CPA certification is not required. The firm is seeking someone who enjoys tax compliance work and is looking for a long-term home with genuine progression opportunities. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 depending on experience, with bonus potential and a clear path for future growth. For the right individual, there is long-term potential to develop into a leadership role and eventually become part of the next generation of firm ownership. The position is based in Manhattan.
