Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for Med Surg patients, including initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and care planning.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapies, per physician orders.
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and respond promptly; document findings in the medical record.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and assist with discharge planning.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, adhere to infection control practices, and perform routine nursing duties such as wound care and IV management.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, expected outcomes, and post-discharge instructions; maintain clear, compliant documentation.

Requirements
- Active RN license (state of Georgia or eligibility to practice in the state)
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Recent experience in Med Surg
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and fulfill holiday coverage requirements
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adhere to assignment policies
