Governance Analyst, Data Domains & Dictionary

Seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Governance Analyst to support the development and management of our enterprise data governance framework. This role will focus on defining and organizing data domains , building and maintaining a centralized data dictionary , and collaborating across business units to ensure consistent data definitions and usage.

Key Responsibilities

Domain Structure Development

• Define and maintain enterprise-wide data domain taxonomy .
• Collaborate with data stewards and business units to align domain definitions with business processes.
• Support metadata tagging and classification within each domain.

Data Dictionary Management

• Design and implement a centralized data dictionary using governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
• Ensure consistent definitions, formats, and business rules across systems.
• Partner with data owners to validate and update dictionary entries.

Governance Operations

• Assist in the development of governance policies and standards.
• Support data quality initiatives by identifying gaps and inconsistencies.
• Participate in governance councils and working groups.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with IT, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements.
• Provide training and documentation to promote adoption of governance tools and practices.
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
• Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks (Acryl Data).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with enterprise data environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PASS or other authentication and data systems.
• Knowledge of Looker or other BI platforms.
• Understanding of data cataloging and lineage tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly contract rate range of $60.00 to $70.00 based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
