Mount Sinai - 425 West 59th Street - Responsibilities: Schedule DAS and Ambulatory OR surgeries and procedures for adult and pediatric patients; Monitor front office workflow and adjust to ensure optimum delivery of service; Verify patient demographics and obtain pre-certification from insurance carriers for all OR surgeries and procedures; Place surgical confirmation calls 1 day in advance of scheduled surgery or procedure date; Train and mentor other Surgical Scheduling Coordinators or less senior staff within the unit
