Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing invoicing, collections, and cash application functions. This role ensures the timely and accurate recording of receivables, supports strong cash flow, and mitigates credit risk. The position leads a team of accounts receivable professionals and collaborates cross-functionally to maintain positive customer relationships and optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the accounts receivable function, including billing, collections, dispute resolution, and cash application
• Ensure timely invoicing and accurate recording of receivables in accordance with internal policies and established accounting standards
• Monitor aging reports and drive collection efforts to improve cash flow and reduce delinquency
• Develop and implement accounts receivable policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers and establish appropriate credit limits
• Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with internal stakeholders
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and audit preparation
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts receivable team, including performance management and professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 5+ years of accounts receivable experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, credit analysis, and collections strategies
• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
