It is part of Saks Global’s portfolio of world-class luxury retailers and real estate assets. **YOU WILL BE:** As a Tailor, you will be conducting alterations, resizing and restyling of all merchandise retailed in Neiman Marcus stores. You will assist fitters in achieving their goals with professional assistance with fit, alterability, and structural quality of apparel merchandise. **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** • Alter constructed garments to meet the standard of quality set by Neiman Marcus equal or better than original construction • Alter seams vented or unvented, take in shoulder blades, reduce chest, narrow shoulders. • Rotate sleeves, shorten sleeves • Shorten back, shorten collar, and square shoulders • Shorten coat, re-line coat, or remake inside or outside pockets • Operate and maintain all sewing equipment • Self-inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met • Complete alterations assigned tasks, as assigned by Supervisor/Lead • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form • Complete tasks assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or Lead **WHAT YOU WILL BRING:** • Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment, with exposure to a variety of garment styles and types of fabrics, is preferred. • Ability to read English and understand instruction by Manager, Supervisor, or Lead • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure **YOUR LIFE AND CAREER AT NEIMAN MARCUS:** • Opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced environment at a company experiencing growth and transformation • Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities across the largest multi-brand luxury retailer from retail to distribution, to digital or corporate • Comprehensive benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental) • An amazing employee discount **SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS:** Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. **Benefits:** We offer the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, basic life insurance, supplemental life insurance, disability insurance, and a variety of additional voluntary benefits (such as critical illness, hospital and accident insurance).
