Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I for its Portland, Oregon laboratory to prepare and process specimens for testing. The position operates on a third-shift PRN schedule and involves specimen handling, data entry, and coordination with testing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack, route, identify, label, and pack specimens accurately
- Perform data entry of patient information in timely manner
- Resolve and document problem specimens
- Meet department activity and production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to pass standardized color blindness test
- Preferred: 6 months prior lab, medical/clinical, healthcare, or production experience
