Position: Dietary Cook
Location: Rochelle Park, New Jersey
Shift: Full-Time | Morning Shift
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Dietary Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. If you have experience in a nursing home or hospital kitchen and are passionate about food service, we'd love to have you on our team!

• Review menus and prepare meals according to approved recipes and production schedules.

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods in large quantities while maintaining quality and consistency.

• Ensure all meals meet therapeutic and special diet requirements.

• Inspect meal trays to verify residents receive the correct prescribed diets.

• Process new diet orders and dietary changes received from Nursing Services.

• Maintain accurate food service records, reports, and documentation.

• Coordinate food service operations with other departments as needed.

• Collaborate with the Facility Dietitian to implement dietary recommendations and menu modifications.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines.

• Assist in maintaining an efficient food production line to ensure meals are served on time.

• Help standardize food preparation methods and ensure compliance with facility policies.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, supplies, and work areas.

• Perform routine inspections of food service areas to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.

• Minimum of 1 year of dietary cook experience in a nursing home or hospital required.

• Ability to prepare a wide variety of foods in large quantities.

• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation, and food safety procedures.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Ability to make sound decisions and work independently when needed.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
