Position OverviewThe Progressive Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Fort Pierce, Florida. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in facilitating effective orthopedic rehabilitation for our patients in a supportive outpatient clinic environment. Our multidisciplinary approach embraces collaboration and aims for excellence in patient service.Work EnvironmentYou will be working onsite at our modern outpatient facility that fosters a collaborative and energetic work culture. Our team of healthcare professionals collaborates closely to create an environment where both staff and patients thrive. The clinic features various therapy stations equipped with advanced rehabilitation equipment to support patient care. The working hours for this role are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a work-life balance for our team members.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement treatment protocols established by supervising Physical Therapists, ensuring compliance with prescribed care.Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, to track outcomes and make necessary adjustments.Assist patients with therapeutic exercise routines, providing guidance on proper execution to maximize rehabilitation effectiveness.Maintain organized and safe therapy spaces, adhering to cleanliness and safety protocols to promote a secure environment for both staff and patients.Assist in evaluations related to patients' coordination, mobility, and overall physical function to support comprehensive rehabilitation strategies.Patient Population / Client FocusIn this role, you will primarily assist orthopedic rehabilitation patients ranging from adolescents to older adults who have undergone surgical interventions or experienced injuries. Your ability to deliver compassionate care will help empower patients to regain strength, mobility, and independence. Each patient's journey is unique, and your support will be vital in fostering their recovery and rehabilitation process.QualificationsCurrent and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Florida.A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or related field.A sound understanding of anatomy, exercise physiology, and therapeutic practices specific to orthopedic rehabilitation.Preferred ExperienceMinimum of two years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.Proficient in electronic medical records management, particularly with experience in WebPT.Solid foundation in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practices tailored to diverse patient populations.Experience working with patients across the lifespan, enhancing your ability to personalize care approaches effectively.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive salary within the range of USD 60,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
