Details Emergency Department setting within a hospital Day shift schedule: 11:00AM-11:30PM 36 hours per week across 3 shifts per week Call requirement: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, 13-hour shifts, must be onsite within an hour of call 2-week nights rotation required for all travelers No block scheduling available Every other weekend shift required Rotating holiday shift coverage required EPIC EMR experience required Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required ASN required; BSN preferred Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred TNCC certification highly preferred EPIC charting experience required Additional Information Serves as primary caregiver for a designated group of ED patients, applying the nursing process and current clinical standards Performs initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers, patients, and families Implements and modifies care plans based on ongoing patient assessment and evolving needs Maintains accurate, up-to-date documentation to support care coordination across the healthcare team Promotes patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards Collaborates and communicates effectively with colleagues, patients, and families to foster a supportive care environment Contributes to peer professional development through constructive feedback Classified as a high-risk department assignment Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted RTO may not exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract American Traveler Job ID P-751089.
