Marketing Intern

Lensing Building Specialties, a leading employer in the Tri-State for the last 77 years, knows how to have fun, get the job done, and treat our people right. Founded in 1948, we are a 3rd generation, family-owned specialty distributor of residential and commercial building products and services. We sell residential windows, doors, cabinets, siding, garage doors, commercial doors and hardware, security systems, access control, glazing, overhead doors and dock equipment. Position Overview We are seeking a creative and driven Marketing Intern to support our growing marketing and communications efforts. This role is ideal for someone passionate about content creation, storytelling and customer engagement - especially within the construction industry. You'll assist in strengthening our brand across our print and digital channels. Key Responsibilities Social Media & Content Creation Assist in planning, scheduling and publishing content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) Capture job site and project photos/videos for promoting our installation services on social media Assist in the video production process for social media videos Write engaging copy for social media, blog posts and promotional materials Employee Communications Support the development and distribution of internal communications and announcements Assist in creating content for monthly employee newsletters Help coordinate communication campaigns around company milestones or initiatives Assist with capturing photos of new hires and drafting internal new hire announcements Email Marketing Assist with the creation and distribution of external marketing emails Assist with the creation of product-specific email marketing funnels Support formatting, list management and sending messages through MailChimp Promotions & Campaigns Contribute to the planning and execution of seasonal promotions, marketing campaigns and brand initiatives Track performance metrics and engagement analytics Event Support Assist in planning and facilitating internal and external events (e.g., employee engagement events, customer appreciation events) General Marketing Support Organize and maintain photo and video libraries Design graphics and marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Cloud Collaborate with department managers and field staff to gather project updates, photos and video Create graphics to display on internal digital signage Assist with maintaining and updating the company's employee portal Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field Strong communication, writing and organizational skills Basic photography and editing skills Basic design skills using Adobe Creative Cloud Familiarity with social media platforms and tools Creative mindset with attention to detail Interest in the construction industry a plus Reliable transportation for visiting job sites (if required) Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, on-site at the 6th Ave. location What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in a fast-paced marketing environment Portfolio content including social media posts, blog posts, internal email newsletters and print marketing collateral Opportunities to collaborate with a diverse team across departments Mentorship and skill development in graphic design, digital marketing and internal communications In order to be considered for this position, you must be willing to comply to a pre-employment background check, drug screen, motor vehicle report, and physical. #J-18808-Ljbffr
