Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Med Surg License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates must possess: - BLS certification - 2 years of Med Surg experience Description: Travel Registered Nurse position available in Med Surg. Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM. The unit has a total of 32 beds. There is a mix of RNs and LVNs on each shift. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. Equipment utilized includes Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates may be required to float to sister departments as needed. Typical procedures performed include ambulation of patients and wound care as needed. The department has a great culture with a supportive team. Staff can rely on one another during busy shifts. An admission/discharge team is available to assist with the admitting and discharging process for patients.
