Job Overview:

Situated in Belleville, our medical center is part of a larger health system, offering a comprehensive range of services to the northern New Jersey community. With a team of over 700 physicians and 2,100 staff members, we provide advanced care for numerous medical conditions. Our facility features specialized centers for wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics, cardiac services, cancer treatment, emergency services, and more. In 2017, we unveiled a modern campus expansion that includes a new four-story building with a private 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, a new main entrance and lobby, a retail pharmacy, a patient registration area, and an expanded emergency department.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associate degree in nursing

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • At least one (1) year of RN experience in a Telemetry unit
  • Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
Certifications and Licenses Required:
  • Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Full Time
  • Night Shift
  • 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend is required; weekday schedules will vary based on departmental needs
Essential Functions:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for organizing and delivering individualized, age-appropriate care to patients within a designated hospital unit, supporting overall medical care. The RN aligns with the organization’s philosophy, objectives, and mission. Adherence to the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory standards is essential. The RN will also engage in patient education and discharge planning, as well as participate in unit performance improvement initiatives.
