Patient Service Rep - Hilo, OBGYN

The OB/GYN department offers complete obstetrical and gynecological care for women and is one of the most comprehensive centers for women’s health in Hawai‘i. Services include obstetrical care, pre-pregnancy counseling, medical, dietary and social service counseling, pregnancy testing, prenatal and high‑risk prenatal care, counseling and postpartum follow‑up care, referral services, infertility diagnostics and treatment, family planning, annual physical exams and pap smears, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, birth control methods, routine gynecological exams, evaluation for and scheduling of gynecologic surgeries, cyst biopsy and removal, nutrition counseling, and endocrine and teen clinics, among others. As the Patient Service Representative, you will help to ensure that our patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at our hospitals and clinics by acting as a liaison between patients of all ages and the professional staff of our hospitals and clinics, generally by performing a combination of clerical, reception and business duties. We are looking for someone sensitive and helpful, with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i. Basic computer skills. One (1) year clerical support experience in healthcare setting or related experience. Preferred Qualifications Basic medical terminology. Experience with EPIC.
