Security Specialist II

Position Location This position is 100% onsite at the government facility in Tampa, Florida. Telework is not authorized. Job Overview The Security Specialist II provides site-specific security support for Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic operations in Tampa, Florida. This position supports classified material control, visitor control, access control, physical security operations, alarm systems, and security system maintenance in accordance with Government requirements. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: Coordinate classified material control support with the Classified Material Control Center (CMCC) Charleston. Perform visitor control by issuing visitor badges, processing visit requests, and verifying Government sponsorship to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and business rules. Answer phone calls and assist customers with access control and badging questions. Review daily Random Anti-Terrorism Measure (RAM) assignments. Assist the physical security team and alarm monitors in completing assigned RAM requirements. Perform end-of-day closing procedures. Utilize security equipment, locks, and alarm systems in the performance of daily duties. Key Responsibilities: Perform installation, maintenance, and hardware repair on: Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) Badging Access Control Systems Job Requirements Mandatory: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education, military training, and relevant experience. Demonstrated experience supporting personnel security, physical security, industrial security, access control, visitor control, badging operations, classified material control, or related security programs. SECRET eligibility and access required. Working Conditions Position is performed entirely onsite at a Government facility in Tampa, Florida. Telework is not authorized.
