Maintenance MechanicAHF Products has a job opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to be located in Smoot, WV. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance and PM's on sawmill equipment.Job Duties:Checking all equipment for proper safety attachments and guards.Maintenance and PM's for all sawmill equipment.Cutting, welding and fabrication.Repair and installation of equipment.Minor electrical repairs on industrial equipment.Facility and grounds maintenance.Serve as a backup for operators of various machines.Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the mill management.Job Qualifications:Highschool Diploma or GED.3+ years of relevant maintenance experience in a similar work environment.Ability to work occasional overtime.Prefer working with your hands.Prefer to be on your feet all day.You are punctual and reliable.Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.Positive and Verifiable Work History.Physical Demands:Frequently will push, pull, carry, and lift 20 - 50lbs.Frequent walking, standing, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping and repetitive movementsMust be able to communicate, hear, comprehend, and write in English.Frequently must be able to work in moderate noise, up to 83 decibels.Frequent exposure to dust.Exposure to noise environment requiring hearing protection.Must be able and willing to work in non-temperature-controlled environment, exposed to weather conditions.Mental Demands:Make decisionsDevelop options and implement solutionsWork with a teamMaintain regular and punctual attendance (consistent with ADA and/or FMLA)Attention to detailCommunicate effectivelyMultitask in a fast-paced environmentWork with a Sense of UrgencyAHF Products provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
