General Manager

Grigg Farms is seeking a General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of its family-owned farming and onion packing business. This is a newly created leadership position and an important succession hire for the next generation of the company.

The GM will coordinate farm operations, packing, finance, employees, vendors, and customers while overseeing the Farm Operations Manager and Packing Operations Manager.

About Grigg Farms

Founded in 1937, Grigg Farms is a fourth-generation, family-owned agricultural operation in Quincy, Washington. The company grows, packs, and ships onions and employs more than 50 people, generating approximately $15M in annual revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across farming, packing, shipping, and administration.
• Lead and hold the Farm Operations and Packing Operations Managers accountable.
• Coordinate irrigation, harvest, packing, maintenance, and seasonal staffing.
• Manage vendors, customers, purchasing, and operational issues.
• Partner with Finance on budgets, forecasting, and P&L.
• Communicate with family ownership on performance and major decisions.
• Build a strong culture and keep the operation running efficiently year-round.

Qualifications

• Operations leadership experience in agriculture, produce, food production, or a related industry.
• Experience managing managers and coordinating multiple departments.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Onion, potato, produce packing, or other perishable crop experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Note: Deep onion-growing expertise is not required. The GM will work alongside Grigg Farms' experienced farm and packing leaders and learn the operation throughout their first full growing season.
