We are seeking an experienced Senior Trademark & Copyright Counsel to lead a critical global intellectual property function supporting one of the world’s most recognized healthcare organizations. In this highly visible leadership role, you will oversee a global trademark and copyright portfolio across Johnson & Johnson’s diverse MedTech businesses, partnering closely with senior business leaders, marketing teams, and legal colleagues to protect and strengthen our iconic brands worldwide. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement, as well as copyright and internet/domain name matters. Leads and manages a team of trademark and copyright professionals, including optimizing workflows, advancing talent development, and enhancing culture and engagement. Works closely with marketing clients and with other functional areas that support the business, providing proactive and strategic counseling that balances reasoned legal analysis with business needs. Directs contentious proceedings before courts, trademark offices and other government agencies worldwide, including management of outside counsel. Provides legal support for various commercial initiatives and transactions, including due diligence and the negotiation and drafting of a broad range of agreements. Qualifications/Requirements Law degree from an ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials, and admission to and in good standing with at least one state bar required. A minimum of 10 years of trademark and copyright experience with a significant clearance and prosecution background as well as first‑hand client counseling and education. In‑house and medical device, pharmaceutical, and/or healthcare products experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of domestic and international laws, regulations, and processes relating to trademark, copyright and internet and domain name matters. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as part of a team, as well as to work independently and balance competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long‑term incentive program.
