Senior Director Information Technology

The Senior Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading enterprise-wide IT strategy, operations, cybersecurity, applications, infrastructure, and business systems across a multi-site organization. This role serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership while ensuring technology services are responsive, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. The Senior Director will drive innovation, optimize ERP and business systems, strengthen cybersecurity programs, and leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

Key Objectives

• Deliver customer-focused IT services with measurable service levels and strong accountability to business stakeholders.
• Lead and develop IT teams responsible for ERP, business applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, reporting, and enterprise systems.
• Direct cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, and compliance programs, including CMMC, NIST, DFARS, and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Provide executive leadership on technology direction, digital transformation initiatives, and emerging technology opportunities.
• Drive business intelligence, reporting, collaboration platforms, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
• Promote adoption of AI tools and best practices to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities

IT Operations & Service Delivery

• Lead IT as a service-oriented organization supporting multiple business locations and functional areas.
• Establish and manage service level agreements (SLAs) and monitor performance metrics for IT service delivery.
• Act as the executive escalation point for critical outages, security incidents, and business-impacting technology issues.
• Build strong partnerships with business leaders to understand operational needs and deliver effective technology solutions.
• Maintain a regular presence at business locations to assess technology needs, improve service quality, and strengthen stakeholder relationships.

Enterprise Applications & ERP

• Oversee the optimization, support, and strategic roadmap for ERP and enterprise business systems.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve business processes, workflows, reporting, and system utilization.
• Prioritize technology initiatives and reporting requirements that drive measurable business value.
• Lead user adoption, training, and change management efforts to maximize technology investments.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Own the organization's cybersecurity strategy, policies, controls, monitoring, and incident response capabilities.
• Ensure regulated and sensitive data environments meet applicable compliance, security, and governance standards.
• Lead security assessments, remediation initiatives, and ongoing compliance activities.
• Evaluate technology platforms and cloud solutions to ensure alignment with security and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute enterprise technology roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on emerging technologies, digital transformation, and business enablement.
• Lead technology project portfolios, including budgeting, resource planning, vendor management, and implementation oversight.
• Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Develop and manage annual operating and capital technology budgets.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or complex operating environments.
• Proven success leading enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and business systems.
• Significant experience managing large-scale technology initiatives and transformation projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other enterprise ERP platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to establish high-performing service delivery organizations with measurable performance standards.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support business operations and strategic initiatives.

Preferred

• Experience within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial, or other highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-171, CMMC, DFARS, and related cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise networking, communications, cloud technologies, and business intelligence solutions.
• Strong executive presence with a proven ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
