Lead low voltage Technician

Role Description This Full-time Lead Low Voltage Technician role is an on-site position based in Nashville, TN. The Lead Technician will supervise and perform installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of low voltage systems, including fire alarms, access control, CCTV, gate systems, and related equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans and wiring diagrams, leading small crews, assigning tasks, and ensuring work meets safety codes and project specifications. The role involves diagnosing system issues, performing troubleshooting and repairs, documenting work performed, and communicating project status with project managers and clients. The Lead Technician will also train junior technicians, maintain tools and inventory, and follow all company and regulatory safety standards. Qualifications Strong practical knowledge of Electricity and Electrical Engineering principles relevant to low voltage systems. Experience with Electrical Maintenance and working safely with Electrical Equipment in commercial and multifamily environments. Proven Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues in fire, access control, CCTV, and related low voltage systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications. Previous experience as a lead or senior low voltage technician, including crew leadership and job site coordination. Familiarity with applicable electrical and life safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local building codes). Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites; ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in various field conditions.
