Electronics Repair Specialist

VIP Staffing is hiring an Electronics Repair Specialist I for a manufacturing and electronics repair facility in Fort Worth, TX.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for candidates with at least 1–2 years of electronic repair experience who are comfortable working with cell phones, computers, electronic components, hand tools, testing equipment, and detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Repair, assemble, and disassemble mobile phones and similar electronic products.

• Inspect electronic devices and components for cosmetic and functional defects.

• Perform required testing and identify product failures.

• Troubleshoot technical issues and determine potential causes of failure.

• Work with small electronic components and internal device parts.

• Use hand and mechanical tools, including electric screwdrivers, manual screwdrivers, suction cups, and other repair tools.

• Follow detailed work instructions for assembly, disassembly, testing, and repair.

• Identify and properly document rejected or non-conforming products.

• Handle materials and devices carefully to prevent scratches or damage.

• Assist with material setup at the beginning and end of shifts.

• Meet established production, quality, and yield goals.

• Follow ESD procedures, including the use of wrist straps, heel straps, ESD gowns, and other required protective equipment.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S standards.

• Report equipment, material, quality, or safety concerns to leadership.

• Assist with scrap control and proper material disposition.

• Provide feedback on opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 1–2 years of electronic repair experience.

• Experience with cell phone, computer, or similar electronic device repair preferred.

• Ability to identify basic electrical/electronic components in cell phones or computers.

• Experience with assembly, disassembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

• Comfortable working with small parts and detailed components.

• Experience using electric and manual screwdrivers and other repair tools.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions in English.

• Basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with production environments, ESD requirements, and 5S standards preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day.

• Ability to move between workstations as needed.

• Ability to bend, squat, and reach.

• Strong fine-motor and grasping skills for handling small electronic components.
