Quality Engineer

Job DescriptionQuality Engineer ### ONLY W2\nLocation: Alma, MI\nType: Direct Hire\n\nWe are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to serve as the primary quality contact and support quality assurance processes in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance with quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nResponsibilities:\n• Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new and revised programs.\n• Act as the primary contact for customer quality issues and resident quality engineers.\n• Investigate, track, and resolve customer quality concerns.\n• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish inspection and testing requirements.\n• Support supplier quality development and qualification activities.\n• Develop and maintain Control Plans and quality documentation.\n• Analyze quality metrics including Cp, Cpk, PPM, and Cost of Quality.\n• Support and conduct internal audits for IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific requirements.\n• Implement corrective and preventive actions using root cause analysis techniques.\n• Provide training and support to production and quality personnel.\n\nQualifications:\n• Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering experience.\n• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.\n• Experience with APQP and PPAP processes.\n• Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards.\n• Experience with FMEA, PFMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.\n• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.\n• Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n\nPreferred:\n• Ford Q1 experience.\n• GM BIQS experience.\n• ISO 14001 experience.\n• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.\nThis is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive compensation and long-term growth potential.
