RN - Labor and Delivery


Job Details:


• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Block scheduling with days grouped together, accommodating traveler schedule
• Weekend and holiday requirements apply
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No floating requirements
• Work in an LDRP unit with 8 beds, 2 triage beds, and approximately 25 births per month
• Must have skills in labor, postpartum, and nursery care
• Care for Level 1 Nursery patients at 35 weeks gestation or greater
• Titrate Pitocin drips as required
• Use OBIX electronic fetal monitoring system
• Charge nurse takes an assignment on the unit
• No nurse aides or surgical techs on the unit
• Follow AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios
• Scrubs provided in grey OR scrubs or may use own scrubs
• 2-day unit-specific orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Michigan nursing license required
• BSN not required

The unit follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios and utilizes modern electronic fetal monitoring technology to ensure the highest standard of patient care. The facility is committed to supporting traveling healthcare professionals with flexible scheduling and structured orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the team.
