Position: Terminal Operator II

Reports to: Terminal Manager

Shift: TBD

Pay: $28.00/hour

What you'll be contributing:

• Complete daily loading, unloading, administration and safety requirements on site.
• Actively participate in site maintenance and upkeep to drive the 5s and "make it better" programs.
• Actively engage with customers to ensure that we are providing a solid customer experience on site.
• Operate all mobile equipment on site effectively and complete basic maintenance functions.
• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Gains full understanding and demonstrates adherence to the safety program.
• Loads trucks as per the daily schedule, utilizing the onsite systems.
• Unloads product as per the daily schedule, utilizing the onsite systems.
• Handles inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnel.
• Maintains shipping logs, prepares bills of lading, and calculates split-load tonnages based on a customer's instructions.
• Completes all safety checks and audits independently on site.
• Maintains supply point and 5S standards.
• Operates mobile equipment safely and efficiently on site.
• Completes basic maintenance of equipment on site.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Independently proficient with company apps for site emails, safety incident reporting, completing training and other programs.
• Received internal or external certification for Rail Conductor, Barge and Truck Safety as per site requirements.
• Received internal or external certification for use of onsite mobile equipment as per site requirements.
• Demonstrate the safe operations of site equipment.
• Willingness to learn, training will be provided.

What to expect in a cement environment:

• Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant.
• Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures.
• Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height.
• Exposure to all weather conditions.
• Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
