The Senior Director of Marketplace will help shape the next chapter of Walmart Marketplace and Walmart Fulfillment Services. About the team: The Marketplace Communications team operates within Global Communications as part of the Enterprise Growth organization. This team drives momentum by enabling sellers to recognize opportunities, helping customers understand value, and showcasing Walmart’s leadership in building a responsible, high-growth platform. Collaborating across eCommerce, Merchandising, International, Global Technology, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Affairs, the team ensures aligned growth and governance. It plays a key role in shaping strategic communication efforts that support business objectives and stakeholder engagement on a global scale. What you’ll do... Develop and lead a forward-looking communications strategy to accelerate Marketplace and WFS growth. Shape the narrative around seller opportunity, assortment expansion, fulfillment innovation, and Walmart’s omnichannel advantage . Position Walmart Marketplace as a differentiated, tech-enabled platform powered by trust, scale, and physical store integration. Lead proactive media strategies highlighting Marketplace milestones, seller success stories, and platform innovation. Secure thought leadership opportunities positioning Walmart as a global leader in omnichannel and platform retail. Partner across Enterprise Growth, eCommerce, Stores, Merchandising, Tech, and Corporate Affairs to create a unified eCommerce narrative. Align Marketplace storytelling with Walmart’s enterprise brand, investor priorities, and customer experience strategy . What You’ll Bring 10+ years of communications leadership experience within eCommerce, retail, technology, or platform businesses. A growth mindset with experience supporting scale, expansion, and competitive positioning. Proven ability to develop enterprise-level communications strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and reputation. Experience advising senior executives in high-visibility, high-growth environments. Strong media and PR instincts , with experience leading proactive campaigns around product launches and business milestones.
