Production Associate 2nd shift

Position Summary

BBSI is seeking reliable and detail-oriented experienced Production Associates to support manufacturing operations at a nutritional and wellness product manufacturer located in Monterey Park, CA.

Qualified candidates should have proven production or manufacturing experience within the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, nutritional product, or closely related manufacturing industry. Experience specifically working with powdered supplements, nutritional blends, vitamins, functional wellness products, or similar products is highly desirable.

The facility manufactures a variety of dietary supplement and wellness products, including superfood powders and blends, powdered drink mixes, functional coffees and lattes, collagen supplements, liquid wellness products, and tablets . Products may contain ingredients such as matcha, turmeric, ginger, beet root, ashwagandha, spirulina, chlorella, collagen, mushroom blends, and other nutritional ingredients.

Production Associates will support the manufacturing, blending, filling, packaging, labeling, and preparation of dietary supplement and wellness products while following established GMP, quality, sanitation, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily dietary supplement and nutraceutical manufacturing and packaging operations .
• Measure, weigh, handle, stage, and move raw ingredients and production materials according to production requirements.
• Assist with the blending and processing of powdered supplements, nutritional ingredients, and wellness products .
• Operate or assist with production, blending, filling, sealing, and packaging equipment.
• Fill and package finished products into pouches, canisters, bottles, droppers, and other packaging formats .
• Apply labels and verify correct product information, lot numbers, batch information, packaging, and labeling.
• Inspect finished products for proper fill levels, seals, labels, appearance, and overall quality.
• Pack finished products into cases and prepare completed products for palletizing, storage, or shipment.
• Follow batch records, production instructions, SOPs, and established manufacturing procedures .
• Maintain accurate product, ingredient, and material counts throughout the production process.
• Maintain clean and sanitary production equipment, workstations, floors, and surrounding areas.
• Follow GMP, dietary supplement manufacturing, food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Wear required PPE and follow proper hygiene practices when handling nutritional ingredients and finished products.
• Immediately report damaged materials, product inconsistencies, equipment issues, or potential quality concerns.
• Assist other production departments as needed to meet daily manufacturing goals.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience in dietary supplement, nutraceutical, vitamin, nutritional product, or similar manufacturing is strongly required.
• Experience working with powders, blending, batching, encapsulation/tableting, liquid supplements, filling, packaging, or related production processes is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP-regulated manufacturing environments and established production procedures.
• Food or beverage manufacturing experience may be considered when the candidate has directly transferable experience working in a regulated production environment.
• Ability to follow batch records, SOPs, written instructions, and verbal direction.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with ingredients, formulations, lot numbers, batch information, labels, and finished products .
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and performing repetitive production tasks.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
• Willingness to follow strict cleanliness, sanitation, GMP, quality, and safety requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to lift and move raw materials, production materials, and finished products as required.
• Comfortable working around powdered ingredients, blending equipment, production machinery, packaging equipment, and active manufacturing operations .

The ideal candidate has proven experience working in dietary supplement or nutraceutical manufacturing and understands the importance of GMP compliance, batch accuracy, ingredient handling, cleanliness, and product quality .

Candidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at a steady production pace while consistently following established manufacturing procedures.
