Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Partner join our team at Durham, NC, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule!Job Responsibilities:Maintains the highest level of integrity and confidentiality when managing ER issues and investigating reported ER cases.Acts as an advocate for equitable and fair treatment – ensuring our practices continue to align to our company’s core valuesHandles investigations supporting sensitive matters including but not limited to; violations of LabCorp’s Anti-Harassment, EEO, Code of Conduct, Compliance, Conditions of Employment, Workplace Violence policies, gross misconduct, theft, or violation of federal, state, or local lawParticipate in various global employee relations projects and activities, for example leadership development and upskilling.Mentors and support junior team members.Identities opportunities for alignment and improvement globally partnering with ER expert to deliver, such as Investigation and Compliance lead or Learning and Development Lead.Analyzes ER trends and recommends actions, solutions and strategies to address opportunities.First level reviewer responsible for all terminations within area of business responsibility.Participates in various employee relations projects and activities.Acts as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, helping them make informed decisions which balance business goals with employee welfare.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business, law, human resources, or a related field.5 or more years HR experience including complex employee relations investigations1 or more years conducting investigations and advising on sensitive and complex employee relations issues.Preferred Qualifications1 or more years of Labor Relations experience1 or more years of experience analyzing complex data, synthesizing insights, and developing executive-level PowerPoint presentations that tell a compelling story and drive informed business decision-making.Current or prior Labcorp experience HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, CIPD, etc.)Additional Job StandardsGood sound knowledge of relevant employment and labor lawsAbility to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issuesProven customer service focus and organizational skills; ability to prioritize issues that are time sensitiveExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respectExceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skillsAbility to conduct a thorough and complete investigation and train others on investigative processAbility to summarize cases succinctly and give case reviews if required (to peers/legal/ER leaders) in order to make recommendations to the businessAwareness of multiple HR disciplines and processes (i.e., compensation, benefits, talent acquisition).Familiarity with case management tools such as ServiceNow and Microsoft OfficeStrong problem-solving skills with minimal guidance required. Flexibility and willingness to deal with competing priorities and assist others as needed in a team environmentAbility to look at processes analytically with the desire to innovate and improveThe Sr Employee Relations Partner will conduct high risk investigations, managing employee issues to resolution, as well as advising on employee relations programs and policies. This position interfaces with all employees, including management, legal, HRBPs and external stakeholders, to maintain positive employee relations and resolve workplace issues between employees and management. Provides a proactive approach to determine training needs ensuring upskilling of leaders occurs.Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule.
