The healthcare provider in Marion, Illinois, is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position on a 36-bed med/surg/ortho unit. The role involves providing confident and independent nursing care with a minimum of two years of medical-surgical experience and EPIC charting proficiency. Candidates must bring their active Illinois RN license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Marion, Illinois
• Position: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor (MS)
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Shift Requirements: 12 HR Nights (7pm - 730 am)
• Float Requirements: to Emergency Department (ED) / Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to care for Medical holds only.
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: none
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Certifications: Active Illinois RN license (no pending licenses or temporary permits), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be attached upon submittal
• Education: Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelors Degree preferred
• Experience: At least 2 years of medical-surgical experience with EPIC charting required
• Qualifications: Confident, independent RN with strong resilience, capable of managing change and social candidates
• Unit Information: 36-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:5 with a CNA, adjustable to 1:4 with staffing issues
• Additional Information: Hard-working, resilient, and adaptable candidates preferred. Scrub colors are navy blue.
• Interview Days: Monday through Friday
• Shift Notes: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
