Job Summary
Join the award-winning team at Sugarfire Smoke House - Wentzville as a Front of House Specialist. In this versatile, guest-focused role, you'll be the face of our busy BBQ restaurant, delivering smooth and memorable experiences from the moment guests arrive to the moment they leave. You'll work in a high-energy, team-driven environment, taking on a variety of responsibilities that keep both our dine-in and carryout operations running seamlessly. Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service
- Greet guests with a welcoming, positive attitude and provide knowledgeable menu guidance
- Assist guests throughout their visit, ensuring satisfaction from entry to exit
- Cashier & POS Operations
- Accurately take orders and process payments using the POS system
- Handle cash and card transactions with attention to detail
- Carryout & Delivery Coordination
- Manage carryout and to-go orders, ensuring accuracy, proper packaging, and timely handoff
- Safely and efficiently deliver orders to guests off-site while providing excellent hospitality
- Dining Room Support
- Float throughout the dining room to check on guests, run food, bus tables, and maintain cleanliness
- Keep front-of-house areas clean, stocked, and organized, including counters, beverage stations, and restrooms
- Team Support & Events
- Support team members wherever needed to ensure smooth daily restaurant operations
- Assist with off-site tent and food truck events, and potentially catering operations
- Compliance
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced kitchen and restaurant environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic
- Comfortable with cash handling and operating POS systems
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Schedule
Full-time schedule with flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
