Substitute Food Service Worker

The Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School District is looking for an energetic and hardworking individual to be a Sub for our food service team. We are looking for someone who can work with a team in a kitchen environment to get a meal prepared. If you enjoy working around children and have a passion for food service, this may be a job for you.

Basic Function: Prepare and serve food for the school lunch program and perform cleaning tasks necessary to maintain standards and a smooth operation.

Duties: Some cooking, lifting, cleaning, dishes, serving.

Qualifications: Experience preferred but will train. Valid Driver License. Knowledge of materials and methods used in preparing food and the care and use of cooking utensils and equipment. Knowledge of food values and nutrition. Ability to do simple cooking on a large scale, simple cleaning and food service tasks and follow oral and written instructions.

Contacts: Face to face contact with co-workers and school staff. Face to face contact with students while serving.

Salary: Food Service - $17.16
