Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long Term Care Unit in Newark, New York. This travel assignment is a 42-bed skilled nursing setting. Start date: 08/25/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,196-$1,246 per week. Shift: 5x8 Evenings. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. The facility accepts first-time travelers and requires candidates to live more than 75 miles away. EPIC charting is required, with a 16-hour orientation prior to the shift.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adults and geriatric residents in a LTC setting, including routine assessments, vital signs, and monitoring for changes in condition.
- Administer medications (including IM/SQ), basic IV/vascular access, phlebotomy, and assist with feeding tubes (NG/G-tube) and enteral feeding support; manage Foley catheter care; provide basic respiratory support (oxygen/BiPAP/CPAP as appropriate).
- Perform wound care, pressure ulcer assessment and prevention, and assist with activities of daily living; assist with mobility and safety of residents.
- Document care and resident status in the EPIC charting system; communicate changes to the interprofessional team (PT, Social Services, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary); participate in care planning and daily rounds.
- Support dementia and behavioral management, de-escalation, and end-of-life care as needed; adhere to unit guidelines and policies; participate in care coordination and discharge planning as applicable.
- Work within the established patient ratios (Days 1:21 | Nights 1:42 | Weekends 1:21) with floating as needed; orientation completed prior to assignment.

Requirements
- Active New York Licensed Practical Nurse license (in hand) to submit
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience; geriatric/LTC population experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to work the 5x8 evenings shift
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the work site
