Location: Torrance, CA
Job Type: Full Time
Compensation: $28 to $30 per hour

Position Summary

The Dental Assistant will support the dentist during procedures, help ensure a positive patient experience, and assist with daily clinical operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with patients and contributing to a team-oriented practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for procedures
• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments
• Take and develop dental X-rays (as permitted by state regulations)
• Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Record patient information and update dental charts
• Schedule appointments and assist with front-office duties as needed
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Ensure patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification or relevant experience preferred
• Current X-ray certification (if required by state regulations)
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with dental software is a plus
