School Social Worker

Job Description Certified Support Staff focuses on promoting student success by responding to identified needs through a comprehensive array of programs and services that help guide all learners in their academic success, personal and social development, and career and college planning and readiness. Bachelor’s degree, 0-1 year of related professional experience. Required Certificates and Licenses Colorado Social Worker Certificate or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Residency Requirements Must reside in Colorado. Responsibilities Maintains caseload of students/families referred for additional support. Provides brief assessments to develop an action plan with students and families. Facilitates family intervention meetings with families in crisis or with multi‑dimensional needs. Serves as point‑of‑contact for teachers and administration for families in crisis; supports staff training and implementation of support processes. Serves as liaison for ESSA subgroups, McKinney‑Vento, and migrant students; follows up with families by phone or in person, coordinates with external agencies (e.g., Child Protective Services, The Department of Juvenile Justice, community service agencies) as needed. Maintains an active role and awareness of local community resources within school boundaries by researching, attending local meetings and/or networking events. Minimum Required Qualifications Master's degree in social work or related social service field. One (1) year of documented social work field experience. Social work education coursework, including Human Behavior in the Social Environment equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to clear required background check. Other Required Qualifications Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) and web proficiency. Ability to travel 20% of the time. Three (3) years of field experience. Background working in education. Compensation & Benefits Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Offers typically fall in the bottom half of the range. Exempt (salary): Post annual salary. Anticipated salary range is $21.37k – $26.71k – $32.06k. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Salary is not guaranteed; it can vary based on several factors such as geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Work Environment This is a home‑based position but may require one or more days a week in the office as determined by the supervisor.
