About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Cardiac Telemetry experience required Must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policies for tardiness and unexcused absences Must complete compliance on time, with no upcoming vacations or barriers affecting completion Description: This position focuses on the care of cardiac patients, including those with Congestive Heart Failure, acute coronary syndrome, and various arrhythmias. There is a secondary focus on managing respiratory issues, such as COPD and pneumonia. Patient diagnoses include heart failure, respiratory failure, NSTEMI, COPD, and pneumonia. The role requires proficiency in several skills, including: BiPAP/CPAP management Blood product administration Central line care and management Interpretation of dysrhythmias Isolation precautions and PPE Telemetry and cardiac drip titration Management of IVs and insulin protocols The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patient ratios are capped at five patients per nurse during day and night shifts. The position includes floating as necessary based on staffing needs. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to pass a compliance EKG exam, with two attempts allowed.
