Job Opportunity

Position Overview

This position is for a dual role of Scrub and Sterile Processing at a medical facility located in Madras, OR. The ideal candidate must have experience in both roles and be prepared to work on call for C-Sections.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)
• Days: Tuesday - Friday
• Call Requirement: Required for C-Sections at the Madras campus
• Floating Required: Yes - Redmond, Bend, and other nearby facilities

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 3 years in Scrub and Sterile Processing
• Certifications Required:
  
  
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA and/or NCCT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Charting System: Experience with EPIC preferred
• Must be independently capable in both roles

Skills and Expertise

• Aseptic Technique
• Use of electrosurgical units
• Instrument Processing and Sterilization
• Care of scopes and fiber optic equipment
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of High-Level Disinfection (HLD) processes
• Participation in surgical procedures such as C-sections, appendectomies, laparoscopic surgeries, etc.

Work Environment

The candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Flexibility to cover call shifts, including 2 weekends per month and 2 weeknight shifts, is required. This role requires engagement in a fast-paced environment and readiness to respond to surgical needs efficiently.

Additional Information

Medical and religious exemptions for the flu vaccine will be considered. Candidates must have no employment gaps greater than 30 days in their work history. A complete 7-year work history is required, including both clinical and non-clinical positions.
