Description
  • Assess patients of all ages, utilizing standardized tests and observational insights to determine individual communication needs.
  • Craft personalized treatment strategies that target both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Implement individualized therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language comprehension, fluency, voice skills, and swallowing.
  • Work collaboratively alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond the clinical environment.
  • Contribute to occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring that patient care remains seamless throughout their recovery process.
  • Document patient progress and treatment details in accordance with industry standards and organizational expectations.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional collaboration to stay abreast of evolving techniques and methodologies.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to be achieved within 30 days of employment commencement.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatments for diverse age groups and a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing.
  • Impeccable interpersonal communication skills, engaging effectively with patients, their families, and a broad array of healthcare teams.
