Job Details: Level: Experienced; Location: Simi Valley Plant - Simi Valley, CA 93063; Position Type: Full-Time; Education Level: Not Specified; Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.00 Hourly; Travel Percentage: None; Job Shift: Second Shift; Job Category: Manufacturing Job Summary Sets up and operates equipment to coat products with powder base paint. Essential Functions Under minimal supervision, sets up powder coat and related equipment to exacting specifications and prepares equipment for production. Ensures that items are properly hung on conveyor hooks. Hangs and removes parts from hooks when parts are not available to powder coat. Inspects and maintains equipment for compliance with safety requirements, including but not limited to all guarding. Corrects any safety issue prior to operating the equipment. Inspects coated items for coverage and tests for coating thickness. Resolves quality and mechanical problems, making minor repairs and equipment adjustments as needed. Prepares parts for rework and applies powder to correct coating defects. Works from schedules and specifications. Assists and trains parts hangers in preparing and hanging parts for powder coat operation. Qualifications Good mechanical skills including the use of hand tools. Good troubleshooting skills such that after a reasonable training period, employee will be able to evaluate operational problems of the equipment and know the proper corrective actions. Ability to read and understand equipment operating, maintenance, and troubleshooting manual. Ability to read and understand measuring devices as required for equipment set up or product inspection. Physical/Environmental Requirements Frequent standing, walking, carrying, lifting, stooping, and crouching. Work with powder coat materials and cleaning chemicals. Lift 40 lbs.
