Unlock a rewarding opportunity to inspire and support middle school students as a Special Education Teacher for grades 6–8. This long-term contract is based onsite at a junior high school, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in a close-knit classroom environment of 20 or fewer students. Start as soon as possible and continue through June 2, 2027, with a set schedule of 33.75 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Demonstrated experience working with junior high or high school students in a special education setting (above elementary level)
• Consistent career history in education, ideally with multi-year roles
• Focus on individualized, student-centered teaching strategies
• Versatility in supporting diverse learners; familiarity with Science, English, or Math content is a plus
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to adapt curriculum and instruction
• Maintain organized records and observe compliance with educational standards and documentation
• Provide direct instruction in core academic areas, assisting students to meet personal and educational milestones
