Job Description:The Floor Care Tech performs floor care tasks according to detailed instruction and maintains the facility in a sanitary, safe, clean, and attractive environment to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. This position also performs general housekeeping duties as assigned.Pay Rate : Depending on experienceEligible for shift differential due to working Afternoon / Evening Shift. (10% for Swing)Shift Details: - Full-time, 40 hrs/wk, (Swing Shift)Location: Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UTAdditional Details: This role will be responsible for floorcare in all the Intermountain Medical Center buildings*One year floorcare experience preferred*QualificationsDemonstrated communication skills to include differentiating color-coded labels and/or chemicals as well as following written and/or verbal directions.Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the departmentDemonstrated professional floor care experience. (Preferred)Essential FunctionsProvides maintenance to hard surface floors by stripping, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and re-finishing according to procedure.Provides maintenance to carpeted floors by vacuuming, extracting, and performing spot removal.Uses cleaning and floor chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.Operates and maintains assigned equipment according to established proceduresHandles equipment maintenance needs including reporting problems with equipment and facility timely and appropriately.Performs general housekeeping duties as assigned.SkillsFloor CareCarpet CleaningOperating Machinery SafelyAttention to DetailAbility to work independentlyCleaningPhysical RequirementsOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.Frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
