What You'll Do

Payroll Administration (75%)

• Process weekly payroll for hourly and fleet employees accurately and on time
• Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, changes, and terminations
• Review and verify timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions
• Process garnishments, benefit deductions, and retirement contributions
• Partner closely with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee records and reporting

Benefits & Employee Support (15%)

• Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and resolve discrepancies
• Complete quarterly MSHA reporting
• Assist with onboarding and new-hire materials
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits and company policies
• Support benefits administration, claims, and open enrollment activities

Team & Culture Support (10%)

• Assist with company meetings, employee events, celebrations, and training initiatives
• Provide support across multiple departments as needed
• Help foster a positive and engaging employee experience

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
• Advanced attention to detail and a high degree of confidentiality
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
