Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Support Specialist to join an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Lititz. In this role, you will provide critical assistance to nursing staff, performing advanced clinical tasks and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Compensation & Growth

• Starting Range: Up to $22.22/ hr (Commensurate with experience, aligned with the 25th percentile of the hiring range).

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Clinical Skills: Perform IV insertions and removals, Foley catheterization, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, and basic arrhythmia monitoring.
• Critical Patient Care: Provide direct care to cardiac-monitored patients, including vital signs, blood glucose testing, and assistance with clinical procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain precise medical records and provide real-time feedback to the RN regarding patient status changes.
• Therapeutic Support: Assist with physical, respiratory, and cardiopulmonary therapies under clinical direction.
• Unit Operations: Contribute to unit activities including responding to call lights, meal service, and patient transport within the facility.

Mandatory Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of general healthcare experience in a clinical support role; OR
  • 1 year of clinical experience plus current enrollment in a PT/OT/PA program with at least one completed clinical rotation; OR
  • 1 year of clinical experience plus a completed Bachelor’s degree in a Health Sciences field.
• Clinical Training:
  • Nursing Students: Must have completed at least one clinical rotation.
  • Emergency Medicine: Must be a certified EMT or Paramedic (or currently enrolled in an accredited program).
• Certifications: Current BLS or CPR certification (AHA standards) required.
• Technical Skills: Successful completion of advanced clinical support coursework and electronic record (eRecord) training.
