The Bike Tech is responsible for building and repairing bicycles according to established procedures. This individual will pull from personal experiences and industry research and trends to provide strong product recommendations that align to the customer's needs.Responsibilities include:Creating a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement, specifically in the Bike Department.Upholding company standards for merchandise presentation.Demonstrating ability to genuinely interact with customers to show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity.Promoting company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions.Achieving sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.Building and repairing bikes in accordance with established procedures. Assisting with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed.Maintaining merchandise presentation standards and signage of Bike Department to Company standards as directed.Adhering to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintaining confidentiality of all Company information.Taking an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.Performing other tasks as assigned by management.Teammate traits we look for include:AccountabilityCustomer-FocusCollaborativeInstills TrustDecision-Quality/Decision-Making AbilitiesAction-OrientedQualifications:Prior experience of building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferredAbility to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.Targeted pay range: $20.50 - $27.50. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
