Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift - 3x12 Hours

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is adhered to. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and set goals related to patient diagnoses in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in weekly team conferences to present patient information and status.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
• Engage in patient rehabilitation programs utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel while delegating appropriately.
• Uphold safety standards and participate in creating a positive and functional unit environment.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities upon completion of the orientation period.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift schedule consisting of 3x12 hour workdays per week.
